Gizmodo: Hop-On Phone and MP3 Player

Hop1886bigfixedApple is finally releasing the combination iPod cell phone! Ha, got you
good! Actually Hop-On is releasing a new phone that looks strangely
like an iPod. This phone packs a quite a punch with a 2.0 megapixel
camera, MP3 player, touch screen and even a video recorder. On top of
that the prices are strangely low for this high end of a phone compared
to others currently out. Expect to pay around $300 come October when
this phone will be available in the United States.

Rain…

Rain_1“I love the rain. It cleanses the
world.”

That
is a line from an anime TV program, Boys Be that I fell in love with ever
since. I don’t know but maybe it shows why I love the rain so much.

A
song from Garbage, “I’m Only Happy When It Rains”, catches my very feeling when
it rains. I’m always in the lighter side of things, smiling over nothing and
just feeling happy when that raindrop starts to sound on the roof. I like to
find my umbrella and go somewhere else just for the heck of it.

I
can’t go outside and bathe nowadays not unlike when I was four. I still
remember happy moments when the raindrops become a numerous violent army
tingling my skin and the chilly wind which left me sneezing afterwards.

My
best friend & I have this memory with the rain too. I think it is one of
the craziest we have. It was raining hard and she decided to get wet with it—in
uniform! We both fancied the rain so much that she challenged me to catch her,
so I did and I get soaked too. I was ashamed of what we did because she was
throwing me grubby rainwater from the ground and I can’t just get even. The
worse because a lot of people were watching and it happened inside our high
school campus. Now we just laughed about it and promised not to do it again—maybe.

At
the moment, I have a feeling that if I find out a person hates the rain, I
can’t hang out him or her. Perhaps we’re too different or just can’t figure me
out.

I’ve
read in a magazine that water is charged (something to do with the Zen) and that
it even attracts the negative aspects of things making a positive outlook of
things. I wonder why it feels good when it rains.

Maybe
it’s because I can relate the rain with my affection. It seldom falls but when
it does, it is countless and giving never ceasing until it drenches all.

Near the window…

I always want to sit near the
window. During classes I would love to sit near windows but my goddamn eyesight
wouldn’t let me. Oh how I envy those who sit near them. In exams, when professors
tell us to sit a part, I would always have a chance to sit right next to them.
I can feel nature running through its course. I don’t need the lights when I
have the sun. I don’t even need the fan because it’s already cool. I can even
see trees towering over me with birds singing their classic songs that make me
relax. Sometimes I get left behind by a few numbers just to gaze over what’s
new with the view. I like to sit near the window given that I have the clear
point of view on the blackboard. I think this is because I am with the light
source and not against it. Even when discussions are boring, a peak through the
window is entertaining; if I’ll just listen closely I would hear the chitchats
about love lives, latest trends, rumors and jokes from big mouths tempt me to
get hooked for a while. But the time I would I love to sit near windows best is
when it’s raining.

Going gaga over him…

GoinggagaI’m infatuated with Incubus
especially with their lead vocals, Brandon Boyd. I always wanted to meet Boyd
and give him a handshake or anything he likes.

He’s
my typical kind of guy for these reasons:

1. He has clever views

2. He is rocker musician with a cause.

3. He is nicely appealing.

4. He has a pleasant voice.

5. He cares for the humanity & the environment.

I
started to like his band when I was in junior high. The time I’ve heard that he
hates cell phones and their Morning View album is on top of sales and of every
chart. Their name Incubus is a Latin for “nightmare”. But it can mean a male
demon, a fallen angel that was believed to have sex with sleeping women making
the act look like as dreams. A coincidence of my fascination over diverted angels.

I
don’t even really know if Boyd is secretly married, engaged or what but he’s
nice on interviews. A certain magazine had pictures that I don’t know how they
made him & the band looked like cute teenage high school boys. But what I
like about him is his talent in writing good songs and the way he plays conga.

Warning
is my favorite of their videos where a certain weird girl screams every 10:24
am only to find out that it was a word for humans to disappear at the same time
on the finale. I can connect myself with the girl for a lot of ways. Man, I
just want to scream a lot for certain reasons these days.

My
favorite of their song is Stellar which I think is a cool love song. I have
always thought that Boyd himself is stellar or has fallen in love with someone
whom he thinks is his higher being. Maybe it was the same way that I am
cosmologically plunging for a stellar being like him or someone alike.

A Creep To Knight

Birth             He
came to me in dreams that haunt me every night. He appears from nowhere, gives
me a white rose & disappears with a horde of flies. Every time he does that
it seems like time has stopped at the wave of his hand and the wind blows for
no more than two people. Maybe his eyes—eyes that entrances me to stare back
and accept the rose. These windows show the true perils of his unguarded soul
as he let me read his thoughts leaving me an enormous feel of pain &
sympathy.

             I
always think that he will kiss me but he tips his head and later I can feel
pangs piercing into my neck. It never hurts even once. I can sense that life
has stolen out of me as my feet shot numb then gradually creeping to the core.
I try to resist but instead he gently enfolds me in his arms, I suppose he is telling
that it was alright, and the thought vanishes. He makes it feel so nice &
warm that giving him what I am scared of seems so easy. I feel like sleeping
the moment forever.

              I
always almost cry when my ears start ringing and my heartbeat slows because I
know he stops before it becomes too late. He draws back then gives a thin smile
that I will never know it is, if not for his planted thoughts.

              I
never understood why he leaves with pain-struck eyes but now I know. Every time
when I feel like heaven, my wings start to show.

The Visual/ Nonverbal Learning Style

You learn best when information is presented visually and in a picture
or design format. In a classroom setting, you benefit from instructors
who use visual aids such as film, video, maps and charts. You benefit
from information obtained from the pictures and diagrams in textbooks.
You tend to like to work in a quiet room and may not like to work in
study groups. When trying to remember something, you can often
visualize a picture of it in your mind. You may have an artistic side
that enjoys activities having to do with visual art and design.

Learning Strategies for the Visual/ Nonverbal Learner:

Make
flashcards of key information that needs to be memorized. Draw symbols
and pictures on the cards to facilitate recall. Use highlighter pens to
highlight key words and pictures on the flashcards. Limit the amount of
information per card, so your mind can take a mental "picture’ of the
information.

Mark up the margins of your textbook with key words, symbols, and
diagrams that help you remember the text. Use highlighter pens of
contrasting colors to "color code" the information.

When learning mathematical or technical information, make charts to
organize the information. When a mathematical problem involves a
sequence of steps, draw a series of boxes, each containing the
appropriate bit of information in sequence.

Use large square graph paper to assist in creating charts and diagrams that illustrate key concepts.

Use
the computer to assist in organizing material that needs to be
memorized. Using word processing, create tables and charts with
graphics that help you to understand and retain course material. Use
spreadsheet and database software to further organize material that
needs to be learned.

As much as possible, translate words and ideas into symbols, pictures, and diagrams.
